Hotels in Hong Kong?

by Dilbey.. ( hotel hong kong )

There are many hotels in Hong Kong, from the top of the price range to the lower.

Some in Central, the main business area, include the following,

Island Shangri La- A very nice hotel with a great pool which overlooks the Citibank and Bank of China Buildings. Although, it is in the middle of the city, the pool area is like an Oasis and you can really relax and get away from it all.

Conrad - This is just beside the Shangri La and is very close to the British Consulate and British Council. This is where Tony Blair stayed when he was in HK for the Handover in 1997.

On Kowloon, there is the best hotel in HK, the Peninsula Hotel Hong Kong, which has been regularly voted amongst the best in the world. It's worth going up to the Felix bar on the top floor and look out over the famous skyline. The boys can also have a pee whilst looking at the skyline from the toilets as well. Ahh lovely.

Less expensive hotels are around such as the Century Harbour View on Hong Kong Island, which is not far from Central. It's a nice hotel, but just a wee bit out of Central which definately reduces the cost of the room. The Taxi though is only 5 minutes away.

The Empire Hotel Kowloon is a deluxe hotel located in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui and is 35 km from Chek Lap Kok International Airport. The hotel offers direct access to the shopping belt of Nathan Road and popular central business districts.

The Ramada Kowloon Hotel is set on a tree lined boulevard in the heart of Tsimshatsul, where shopping, night life entertainment and office blocks abound.

In all through there's lots of good hotels, but beware the cost can go through the roof.
